No. We do not currently offer tutoring outside of small school-based groups.

SmartStart prides itself in having educators ready to start within three weeks of your school signing a contract.
After initially meeting with our program administrators to learn the unique needs of your school, we will handle all hiring, HR, and program implementation. We can ensure our staff meet your standards with as much or as little involvement on your part.

Yes. SmartStart will adapt our programs to the specific requirements and tools provided by any school or district. Should you request additional curriculum to supplement your school's, we offer services that include the technology and licenses needed to access alternative learning platforms.
SmartStart has specific screening requirements to ensure that our educators are experienced with working with diverse populations. Our own program managers have multiple years of experience working in school districts with a high proportion of Title I schools and multi-lingual learners such as Baltimore City and Rio Grande.

To establish a baseline and track academic growth, SmartStart administers the NWEA MAP assessment during the beginning, middle and end of our programs. With a combination of the diagnostic assessment and attendance tracking, SmartStart is able to get a holistic picture of your students' academic gains in our program.
